Our commitment to accessibility

The Tower Podcast considers it of the highest importance to provide an equal and accessible service to the entire public, including people with disabilities. We act in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013.

The site was made accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard 5568 at level AA, which is based on the international WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines of the W3C.

Accessibility features on the site

The site was designed and developed with accessibility in mind, and includes the following features:

Structure and design

  • Valid semantic structure (HTML5) that allows comfortable navigation with screen readers.
  • Full support for RTL (right-to-left) direction in the Hebrew version, and LTR in the English version.
  • A clear heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) for a logical scan of the content.
  • High color contrast between text and background (a ratio of at least 4.5:1).
  • Readable text size that can be enlarged through the browser without breaking the site.

Navigation and operation

  • Full support for keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, arrow keys).
  • A visible focus indicator on the active element during keyboard navigation.
  • Links with clear, meaningful descriptive text.
  • Labels (aria-label) for interactive elements such as buttons and links.
  • Respect for the reduced-motion preference (prefers-reduced-motion): animations are disabled automatically for anyone who has set it at system level.

Content and media

  • Alternative text (alt) for meaningful images.
  • Accessible forms with clear labels for every field.
  • Avoiding the use of color alone to convey information.
  • Avoiding flashing or fast animations that could cause discomfort.

Compatibility with assistive technologies

The site was built to be compatible with common assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack.
  • Modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (current versions).
  • Operating systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.

Parts that are not yet fully accessible

Despite our efforts, certain parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible, including:

  • Videos and audio clips embedded from external platforms (such as YouTube, Spotify): their accessibility depends on the hosting platform.
  • Third-party service components, such as WhatsApp links (the service itself is operated by WhatsApp).
  • Content embedded from social networks.

We work continuously to improve accessibility and will be glad to receive inquiries on the subject.

Accessibility inquiries and requests

If you have encountered an accessibility problem on the site, or have a suggestion for improvement, we would like to hear from you. We commit to reviewing every inquiry and responding within a reasonable time.

Accessibility arrangements when providing the service

When providing our service (studio recordings, meetings and direct communication), we adapt the way we work to the client's needs, including:

  • Communication through whatever channel is comfortable for the client: email, WhatsApp, phone or a face-to-face meeting.
  • Arranging any required adjustments in advance of a visit to the studio or a recording.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and in the pace of work according to special needs.
  • Personal guidance throughout the recording and production process.
